[edit] About Loot Stats

The chance to get the loots on the stats are wrong, I mean, the formula is wrong.

A probability of an event(loot something when killing a creature) is represented by a real number in the range from 0 to 1.
So there is no chance to get more than 100%. And if you can get an empty body so the chance to get something could not reach 100%.
Let's take an example using gold coins:
You kill 200 Rotworms and loot gold coins as below:
30 with no gold coin
25 with 1 gold coin
35 with 5 gold coin
50 with 10 gold coin
40 with 12 gold coin
15 with 15 gold coin
5 with 20 gold coin

You looted a total of 1.505 gold coins.
RK = Number of rotworms killed
RG = Number of rotworms corpses with gold coin (1 or more)
Chance to get 1 or more coins killing rotworms: math = 85%

did you get my point? StradvariusTibiawiki.png T C 18:05, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

That's just how many rotworms with gold in them giving no indication as to how much gold per corpse - or even, how much gold per hundred (as is now). It's perfectly reasonable to have greater than 100% and your method would probably result in rats dropping more gold than rotworms. If you can give any logical reason for not gaving >100% or than you don't like it please help us. Also an event mostly represents and qualitative set of data; You're method says if it will rain - ours says the average rainfall likely.

Thanks for your feedback on the loot stats, I think you said the same about the tibiaml loot stats here? Anyways, in one way you are of course right (what you say applies to all stackable items). When making our loot stat system we have considered different options, have every drop apart or sum up stackable ones, see image for difference:
You'll get a lot of entries this way
Actually, what you say is a third way, for the record, these are the options I think:

  1. Show whether or not it is dropped (boolean)
  2. Show if 1 gold is dropped, if 2 gold is dropped etc.
  3. Stack up all gold and get more than 100%

Changing the current system is of course possible and can be discussed. I would use as an argument you can compare 2 creatures' gold drops if the first one is 5000% and the second 7000% but this can be done with average gold drop too (so this argument is not very strong). I need to think about it a bit longer before I know what I prefer. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 18:46, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

Yes I said the same on tibiaml. I'm trying to fix it wherever I see it :P. If you stack all gold coins, please, think about to sum all items to get the percentage. I mean, getting Terror Bid Loot stats as example, you would calculate the percentage as 89.45% (247/276) 276 would be the sum of all items stackable or not, empty corpses should not count.StradvariusTibiawiki.png T C 19:03, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

We can't just ignore empty corpses - it's not statically feasible and would murder the average the way it's done at the moment. 6.5 Gold average is 650 Gold per 100 Terror Birds - to me there's not that needs to be fixed and any method beyond that is completely redundant and more than the wiki users need.

[edit] vandal Abuse.Temahk

User Abuse.Temahk‎ was created to swear temahk as the name says. Also, I just rolled back his edit where he copyed a message from Temahk and added swears in end. Maguu 12:31, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

I'm behind a modem with some kind of porn/swear filter so I can't view this revision. I trust you the edits are bad. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 12:47, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Secret Service Quest: CGB

Nice job on adding Building Plans for a Ship, but you still need to add Suspicious Documents (Mission 5: No Admittance) and possibly Book (CGB) (Mission 6: News from the past). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cykotitan (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Thanks, I will certainly do that, when I get to those missions. I need the name, image, weight, flavortext etc. to make an accurate page, so when I do the quest the info is added. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 22:33, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

I can only tell you that Suspicious Documents look the same as a Note and an Old Piece of Paper. On the other hand, Book (CGB) looks the same as a Big Blue Demona Book, Songs of the Forest and an Atlas.
Regarding weight, I think they have the same weight as the items they look like. I also think they have no flavortext. Still, nothing should be created until this all is confirmed.
