Tibia Rules
From TibiaWiki
The Tibia Rules are a code of conduct, which shows clearly what you are allowed to do, and what not. The Tibia Rules exist of:
1. Articles which tell you what kind of name you need to choose, in order to prevent yourself from being name-locked. For example, your name must not be insulting, it must not be a sentence or a badly formatted name, it may not be religious or political or an official position, it cannot advertise, and your name must fit a medieval-fantasy setting.
2. Articles which tell you what you are allowed to say in-game and on the Tibian forums, and what not. For example, you are not allowed to insult somebody, to spam, advertise something not related to the game, to speak another language than English in a public place or inciting someone to violate the Tibia Rules.
3. Articles which tell you what is considered to be cheating, and thus illegal. It is not allowed to have an unfair advantage over others, by cheating. For example, you may not abuse bugs, you may not use cheat-tools, and you may not modify the client to make it easier for you to play. It is also not allowed to hack another player's account, to play on more than 1 account at the same time, or to trade or share accounts.
4. Articles concerning Gamemasters. Gamemasters enforce the Tibia Rules, and you may not give them wrong information, or pretend to be a Gamemaster. You may also not threaten a Gamemaster because of his actions.
5. Articles concerning Player Killing. To prevent excessive player killing by other players, there is an automated system which marks you when you kill too many players unjustifiably. This system is called the Skull System, and by killing 6 unskulled players a day, 10 a week or 20 a month, you will automatically be black skulled for 45 days from the game.
A violation of the Tibia Rules may lead to temporary banishment of characters and accounts. In severe cases removal or modification of character skills, attributes and belongings, as well as the permanent removal of accounts without any compensation may be considered. The punishment is based on the severeness of the rule violation and the previous record of the player. It is also decided by the gamemaster giving the banishment.
