[edit] Stackable
I saw that the stackable thing was missing in all item pages.
I tried to add it to Amazon Armor, but it stills shows "?".
- --Lord de los Druidas«|»Talk«|»Profile«|» 17:02, 3 July 2006 (PDT)
Since you noticed that I added the "stackable" parameter to the items template, you probably also noticed that I changed the items template to work for armor, weapons, shields, etc. The amazon armor page was using the "Infobox_Armor" template still. I changed it and it is fixed now.
Eventually all armors, weapons, etc. will be using the one template instead of the different templates, but I did it in a way that it should not be noticeable to most wiki viewers. I didn't want to disrupt use of the wiki for making a technical change like that.

Then, what should i do? Change the templates...from {{Infobox_Armor}} to {{Infobox_Item}}?
- -- ¬¬ Lord de los Druidas ¬¬ * Talk * ¤ Contributions ¤ *** 09:50, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Yup, that would do it.
You can check out the Standards page for information about the template. I updated the standards page to reflect how I changed the template.

I was thinking there is constant editing and debate about item prices, why not make it a range from cheapest logical price to highest. This would have two separare lines for lowest/highest sell/buy price. This may be too complicated or unnecessary but i am just tired of the arguments over price. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 18:36, 17 April 2006 (CDT) 14:30, 29 November 2006 (PST)
It's kinda hard to make an argument either way, because some items (like Boots of Haste) have pretty well-established prices on the street, but most items are almost random what someone will pay for them.
A range would be appropriate, but I don't think it would help to make it two separate fields, we just need to update some of the pages and set the precedent that "loot value" should be a range of prices, not one price.
There are some pages that already have it listed as a range, but they have the same problem... people constantly changing the range of values to match their gameworld.
Ultimately, the price something will sell for to other players is completely gameworld-specific. There are sites like http://www.mytibia.com/ that handle this very well, but I have always thought that it did not belong on this wiki. I would actually prefer removing it entirely, but I don't think that would go over too well with everyone else.

[edit] Sound
Some admin change the template so it shows the sounds (Munch, Chomp, Yum)
Kind Regards,
Bennie 13 December 2006 10:55 (CEST)
Yeah, it'll be useful for some itens too, like map's, dices, christmas cards, liquids and food.
-- † Pudd Knight † Talk Contribs -- 08:50, 13 December 2006 (GMT -03:00)
No problem... I'll take care of it. As soon as I saw that different foods made different sounds, I was on my way to update the template :)

[edit] Mana/HP Regeneration
I'd love to see another row in mana/hp regeneration table showing how much mana/hp each food gives while sleeping. According to sleeping page the formula is as simple as (normal regeneration time/3) (each food last 5 times longer and gives 1 mana/hp per 15 seconds). I guess only ops can edit templates. -- John Locke
That's a pretty good idea, but I have a couple questions first....
What is the exact formula for how long food lasts? regenseconds * 5 ?
Is the regen (mana/hp) the same for all vocations? or is it different for mages/knights/paladins?
As soon as someone can answer these questions definitively, I would be happy to add a line to the regen table.
-- Aio, quantitas magna frumentorum est.
-- Whitelaces † Talk † -- 10:42, 11 January 2007 (PST)
I dunno the exact formula, but I can tell that I go sleep "full", and for my knight and for my druid the regen is the same (for mana) so I think it's same for all vocations, my knight don't regen too much hp too, I din't tested on my druid because he have less than 300HP. But it seens when you sleep you regen same hp/mana for the food you eat (let's say, if you eat enough to regen 300, you regen 300 hp and 300 mana) I'm not sure about HP but my druid and knight regen same mana when they're full. But I never tested sorcerer and druid, but I hope this info can help you.
-- † Pudd Knight † Talk Contribs -- 11:07, 11 January 2007 (PST)
Okay, I think I have enough info to add this line to the regen table.
If anyone finds any inconsistencies, or thinks they have a better formula, please post it here.

[edit] spelling error
I can't edit because the template is protected, but there's a small grammar error on the damage part, Damge values.. and it should be Damage =P

Thanks for noticing that. It's fixed now.

[edit] Weapon Level Requirements
I don't think level requirement shows, is this an error or because the update hasn't come yet? anyway just thought I'd point it out since it doesn't seem right --Sixorish 16:50, 16 June 2007 (PDT)
- Assumabley the infobox will be fully updated when tibia is as to not confuse tibians who want current information.
Craggles
[Random::Chat::Guild::Contributions::Tibicam Profile]
As the weapons do not have level requirements at the moment, no weapons should be changed to SHOW a required level. There is a required level that does not show up; however, I have added this to new and old weapons based on test server information for a list I'm working on that will be added once the update occurs. As it is only test server information and not the update itself (making any changes questionable as they may not necessarily be true), no information pertaining to the test server should be applied to OLD weapons or items until the update occurs. Thanks! ~ Uno time
Craggles and Uno are correct, I the level requirement and vocation requirement are not visible on the infobox pages yet. I added them to the template so that the information would not end up in the notes, and we wouldn't have to re-update every item page again after the update.

[edit] About flavor text and requirement...
At wiki, they are showing like this:
Stonnecutters Axe You feel the power of this mighty weapon. It can only be wielded properly by players of level 90 or higher
But on global, when you look, you see like this:
Stonnecutters Axe It can only be wielded properly by players of level 90 or higher You feel the power of this mighty weapon.
Shouldn't it be changed?
Oh.... I see. Took me a minute to figure out what you were saying... you mean that the flavortext should be below the level requirement.
I'll take care of that.

[edit] Category:Items with historical information.
I think that items with a history article should have a category like the one in the title of this comment so people who are looking for historical info can find it easier.
The same could be done with monsters.
- -- ¬¬ Lord de los Druidas ¬¬ * Talk * ¤ Contributions ¤ *** 20:37, 6 July 2007 (PDT)
The history page (if it uses the small template I made), will be in the category Category:Tibia History.
We can certainly add a category for the items themselves, but I'm not sure if that will provide any more benefit than the way it is now.
Anybody have some more input or ideas?
-- Quanto sono infedeli, in realta, gli uomini italiani?
-- Whitelaces † Talk † -- 05:32, 9 July 2007 (PDT)
If there's already a category then we don't need to add a category for the items themselves...I'm checking all the articles of that category right now =)

[edit] Rookgaard NPC Value
This has to be added to make Rookgaard loot lists work.

[edit] 8.2 changes
Items were changed in the recent major game update, this template will need updating, too.
You see boots of haste (speed +20). It weighs 7.50 oz.
You see a pair of soft boots (faster regeneration) that has energy for 138 minutes left. It weighs 8.00 oz.
You see an energy ring (magic shield) that has energy for 3 minutes left. It weighs 0.80 oz.
You see a dwarven ring (hard drinking) that has energy for 15 minutes left. It weighs 1.10 oz.
You see a glacier robe (Arm:11, protection ice +8%, energy -8%). It can only be wielded properly by sorcerers and druids of level 50 or higher. It weighs 22.50 oz.
etc. (Forbes found them, not me since I don't play anymore)
Changes:
- Armor should not have a space after it (Arm:11 instead of Arm: 11)
- After the armor value there needs to be a comma IF there is an attrib parameter, it's do-able with the current template, however, it will interfere with DPL lists.
- Items like rings/boots etc will need to be changed to allow the (hard drinking) or (speed +20)
Might also be some other things, too. I've got no time, let alone the power to make changes myself, /stares at "View source" link. so I'll just bring it to others' attention and hope someone gets it done. -- Sixorish 14:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding the Value Parameter
I don't think it's necessary to have the value parameter, while it would be nice to know the worth of something, it cries edit wars. Server economies vary and change constantly, so the likeliness of something being of equal value throughout all servers comes down to the easiness to get said item and the NPC buy price. In that case, the NPC sell list takes care of it. -- Sixorish 00:52, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Theory
I think the list articles that the template generates when the classes are defined by a variable have individual lists per article (quite confident on this, take, for example, an item which was just created, it will have a fresh listing, but the others will be updated later), this means that every weapon, armor, helmet, document, etc. has a DPL list caching categories.
I believe the server performance would be much better if the template transcluded these lists from a constant list (e.g, one not defined on template call)
The job queue needs to update the articles on individual lists, meaning that... the template has 4 dpl calls for the dynamic list (to the right) makes 4 'jobs' in the queue per item article, multiplying by 1,368 (the amount of items in Category:Items)... this would make 5472 jobs when the lists update - and that's just for the items!
if they were on a separate page, they would be grouped by subclasses, this still calls the DPL list but the lists are constants and held on a single page, they will be reducing the job queue by 5472 - x (x = number of classes there are, 20~40?) for items, this is just my theory, I'll test this out using sandboxes, but won't be able to find a definite answer by just that.
an example:
User:Sixorish/Item - template
User:Sixorish/4 - list
User:Sixorish/Dagger - dagger using it.
