[edit] Reverted Edits
Reverted edits by Mathias (Talk); changed back to last version by Whitelaces Why? This doesn't make sense...
Sorry, I didn't mean to revert your changes. My mouse was jumpy and I accidentally clicked to revert. I stopped the browser right away, but it apparently had already sent the request to the server. I'll fix it.

[edit] Fixing of old usage of the template
When this template was first used, Image:None.gif was used for empty item slots, after that Image:Trans.gif. But now we have NoAmmy, NoRing, etc.
To fix the old templates with none & Trans, I made this code:
{{#Switch: {{{neck|NoAmulet}}}
|None = NoAmulet
|Trans = NoAmulet
|{{{neck|NoAmulet}}} = {{{neck|NoAmulet}}}
|}}
neck = Amulet of Loss will give Amulet of Loss
neck = None will give NoAmulet
neck = Trans will give NoAmulet
neck = (not filled in) will give NoAmulet
neck = NoAmulet will give NoAmulet
Please report any bugs.

[edit] Example is screwed up
The example has Crown Helmet, while the Full Helmet of the Ancients is shown, for starters. They are all messed up as a matter of fact.
[edit] Problem on Rare Set page
In the first set:
Weight: Expression error: unrecognised punctuation character "[" oz. Attack: 48 Defense: 72 Armor: Expression error: unrecognised punctuation character "{"
By playing with previews i found out that Avenger in belt slot is causing the problem, after removing it the errors don't appear. Avenger page seems fine, so problem should be in Template:Equips_Set or in some templates it is using. Ville-v 01:32, 2 January 2007 (PST)
[edit] How about adding "armor blocks xx hp" to the stats?
Well, the formula is known, and this is easy to implement; even I could do it, I think. But I need your opinions first anyhow, so here goes: is it okay to add this to the template? For those who don't know what I'm talking about, see this page for an example. (I'm talking about the Armor: 34 (blocking 17-31 hp) part.)
Okay, I added that calculation to the template. I also changed the input parameters a little bit. Most people will not notice, and anyone that had "showstats = yes" will simply just be missing the stats.
Check the template page for more complete usage instructions.

wouldn't it be nice, if either showstats or the more precise parameters "show..." worked together. That way the old template users don't need to change...
Of cause, only if there's an "or" statement available...

I absolutely considered that, but my justification was to force the community to educate itself a little. I didn't really want to make it "harder" for people, but I want more users to be familiar with how the templates work. This was one thing that had a pretty small impact upon users, but gives them a reason to understand the functionality of the wiki a little more.
If users really want support for the "showstats" parameter again, I have no problem adding it back in.

Well, taking into consideration that the Wiki has a size limit on template pages when doing calculations, it may be better to leave it the way it is.
Anyway, thanks for explaining your point of view. I can accept it that way... ;-)

[edit] Few things wrong
There are a few things wrong, One with using a Magic Long Sword on User:João_Carlos and one about HP in the expr(essions) on User:Mystburn Edwin de waterman => Talk <= Profile ·_· Contribs <·> 18:22, 30 April 2007 (PDT) <·>
Carlos' page has the name of the sword misspelled. It should be "Magic Longsword".
Mystburn's page has the wrong case for the amulet. It should be "Platinum Amulet" (both words upper-case).

[edit] showarmorblocks doesn´t work properly
I tried already to fix it, but I got no idea what is wrong there. The formular used works very fine in my sandbox
