Talk:Updates
From TibiaWiki
There are a few client versions missing (may not be complete either):
Tibia 5.01
Tibia 5.10
Tibia 7.26
(I don't have any info about what changed during these updates...)
Also either a seperate page for the client / instalelr files would be necessary, including basic info like file size and sha-1 hashes of the installers and the individual game files.
Or maybe a dedicated page for each generation of Tibia: 5 / 6 / 7. Which would then include all the update info and the more technical details about the files.
Also including direct download links for the old installers would be a good idea.--Telegraf 10:37, 14 May 2006 (CDT)

I have made infos for Tibia 7.23, 7.27 , 7.35, 7.61. I can't find info for 5.XX and 7.26. There can be bugs in dates but i don't have time to check this and repair. AFAIR there should be versions for test server clients. I will look for more info.
---
I made a seperate article for the tibia installers including all versions that are available from official CipSoft servers so far. I will add the other versions that are available at the various fansites, too.
About the question whether to have two seperate articles, this one that describes the updates in detail and the one I created which only deals with the installer and the game files (file size, download links) themself. I think it's a good idea to keep these things seperate as for now, because both articles aren't complete at the moment. But maybe merging both will be an option later.
Also I aggree that there should be a seperate article or sub-sections within these articles that deal with the test versions. But I think the articles about the final releases have priority.--Telegraf 14:03, 14 May 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Links outdated
All the links to the news archive of Tibia.com don't work anymore since the website update. Does anyone know if they were just deleted or if you can access them with another link? Either way, we should edit them.

They were all moved, but still exist. Yes, all news links need to be updated:

For anyone who updates links to news articles, please use the template OfficialNewsArchive. It will save us time if we ever need to update the link to the news archive in the future.

I don't know how I could overlook the "News archive" thing but that's just typical me. However there are no news with lower ID than 437 (Christmas Update '06) which means all other news articles are lost? Or did I miss something again? This one is also the first news article to appear in the news archive/search.

Looks like you may be right. It appears that they have deleted ALL archived news articles before the christmas update from their website.
This is truly a great loss concerning knowledge of Tibia history. Is it maybe possible that they simply have not loaded the old articles into their new database structure?

In our news archive you can now find all news of the years 2005 and 2006. We will add more of the old news in the next days.
Tommorow I'll start adding the new news links as I got to go now.

Excellent... it is a great relief to see them add those old news articles.

Still, the links from 2000-2004 are broken, although they are now accessible on the official site.

Should be fixed now. I updated them to use the OfficialNewsArchive template.

[edit] Jan 22 2008
Patch! With today's server save a small patch has been launched. Besides fixing some NPC typos and small map bugs, we have also slightly adjusted the loot of a few monsters. Additionally, NPC Ustan is buying multiple wolf and bear paws from now on.
Add it ;P
