Talk:Sea Serpent
From TibiaWiki
the new underwater area is somewhere around svar... seeing as that the sea serpent is seen in svar and theres a paper in savar mines that talks about it, id say its gonna be in that area :P + the pic of the underwater area is ice... magician jimson 15:40, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
I believe it also heals as you can see in tibiamx's picture. Kinight
I think the sea serpent which can be seen on Hrodmir is this. Then I am removing that wrong information from the notes.

Is there any reason why Budge has removed Serpent Coat, Hailstorm Rod, Blue Gem and Skull Helmet? They gave no reason why they was removed and also didnt change the other pages. Beejay 21:25, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] About the name...
I think this page should be deleted for now since the teaser does NOT say that the name of this monster is sea serpent.
[edit] about the loot
So far I killed 815 serpents, made 2 bps of plate legs like 3 bps of viking Rumour has it that even an evil sea serpent is dwelling there. Be careful whenever you dare to enter this area or you might end up as a tasty treat for this nasty creature. Sea Serpent is just a description for the type of animal, any snake-like monster underwater could be considered sea serpent. Nidhoggr 21:43, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
Where the heck did we get all these stats on the Sea Serpent??

new dl-like monster?
It's pretty weak, so i wouldn't call it a dl, more like a weak hydra that heals semi-fast, annoying tho when they run Chrx 15:53, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Btw, has any1 actually looted blue gem from them, except in TS? Chrx 14:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Friend has been there over 8 hours and no gem, nor coat, nor skull helmet.
I'm going to change roh to very rare, as he only got one in over 8 hours.
Just 2 amulet and gp so far.

[edit] Weaknesses
Because it's featured on the main page I can't edit it now, but I've tested the weakness to energy (+10%) and death (+10%).

Just wait a week i allso wanted to change something.

sea serpents weakness to physical has got to be more than 10%, i've seen 2 hits over 500 (511 and 510) and lots in the high 400's compared to a hydra where my best is 465, sca with 97 axe skill and no axe ring, best exori gran ive seen is 723. Aeryn Knight 05:44, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] About the loots
I'd like to know if anyone has looted a frozen plate, thaian sword, lunar staff and/or a blue gem on those creatures, after the last update. Although cip reduced their hp, it seems they reduced their loot dropping rate also. I killed about 2000 sea serpents already and just got ring of healings, amulets and sapphires. Warlock Mortimer 15:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
None of the rares due hunting some days there. So far I remember 2 ROH, maybe 15-20 small sapphires, 8 glacier amulets. Quite waste to hunt there ^^

I hunt before the update for 2 or 3 days meaning like 12 to 16 hours total hunting on a X2 spawn, looted 20 lunar staf 5 or 6 thaian swords (sold for 15k each to players) and around the same number of roh, like 20 amulets, alot shapphires, 1 frozen plate, and I did profit huntin in there. Not hunting anymore in there some times I go there for soul. Some one should do some loot stadistics to see if they change the rates
Kwigon the sharpshooter 17:39, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
How people know they dont drop thaian sword and frozen plate? They are very rare drop meaning you must hunt the serpents for a week to atleast loot 1.
Kwigon the sharpshooter 15:35, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Signed, to get an idea if they still drop it you would need to hunt thousands of them. If the is only a 5/1000 chance to loot one (even lower) it isn´t said you would loot one at all. I suppose CIP reduced the drop-rate drastically, but not to zero.
Nevertheless a positive comment that somebody looted one of the overrares would be awsome. I want to know if it´s still useful to hunt there ;)

Looted: 22:36 You see a crystalline armor (Arm:13, protection ice +3%, energy -3%).
It can only be wielded properly by knights and paladins of level 60 or higher.
It weighs 84.50 oz.

Took me 512 to lot crystaline armor I have killed 847 and I have looted this rares: 54 sapphires, 7 focus coats, 16 northwind rods, 6 stealth rings, 24 serpent swords, 20 spirit coats, 11 glacier amulets, 2 glacier kilt, 6 rings of healing, 10 great mana potions. I would say plate legs are semi rare, glacier kilt very rare, and no looted leviatan amulet or thaian sword.
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 21:45, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I killed ~950 Sea Serpents so far, 2 crystallines, 4 or 5 focus capes, 1 glacier kilt and 4 leviathan amulets. Several loots of the other stuff, so I would think glacier kilt and leviatan amulet very rare too. The other things look fine to me.

I killed 6000 and got no moon backpack. Are you sure its dropped by them? Grand Niefzenn 09:29, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Run or stay?
Do they "run" or swim or whatever they do when they get low hp or do they keep fighting until death? Page says they will fight until their end, but all youtube movies ive seen they try to escape at yellow, almost red... //User:Coohie
They run at approx. 300 hp
Cykotitan 10:36, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
After update 8.5 they don't run away
Dyror 10:45, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
Only the young ones run nowadays, he sea serpents itself are all calm and willing to stay with you till the end.
