Very nice, I was thinking about the outfits in in TibiaWiki yesterday but didn't find a proper structure.
The add-ons will be obtained in quests, but that doesn't mean we cannot describe/show the add-ons itself, in my opinion. What is the difference with describing the dwarven armor, for example, which can only be obtained by doing a quest?
Maybe a template for the outfits, with a nested template for the addons, eventually hidden with a spoiler warning if you insist. :) I think that information about the new outfits and add-ons will be something highly appreciated right after the update.. if the structure is ready we can fill it in pretty quick. -Borr

Yes, that's actually what I meant... how to obtain the add-ons is spoiler info, not info about the add-on itself. Sorry that it wasn't very clear. Once we know more about them, a template would be good.

I think that outfit add-ons should be treated like items in the wiki. Each should have a page of its own using a template, and then if it is obtained in a quest, there would be a separate Quest page for it.

I'm certainly open to other ideas. Once we know more about how they work, it might become clear that it needs to be done some other way.

Addons[]

Knight Outfit Addons Kalvin: If you spend your time fighting monsters and need that little extra protection, this well-armoured outfit is great for you. Addons are usually awarded by knight guilds.

Hunter Outfit Addons Kalvin: A light and comfortable ranger outfit which every paladin simply loves to wear. If you are looking to earn addons for this outfit, a good place to start would be the Thais paladin guild.

Mage Outfit Addons Kalvin: Great for wise old male mages as well as for pretty enchantresses. If you are looking to earn addons, ladies should take a stroll in Port Hope, whereas elders should explore the Dark Cathedral.

Citizen Outfit Addons Kalvin: Your basic starter outfit - simple, but practical. If you are looking to earn addons for this outfit, you should walk around Thais and look for citizens wearing a hat or a backpack.

Nobleman Outfit Addons Kalvin: One of our finest pieces. If you have the money and wish to show how wealthy and noble you are, this is the outfit for you. We also create addons especially for you, right here.

Summoner Outfit Addons Kalvin: Great for young mages and ladies who love witchcraft. If you are looking to earn addons, gentlemen should take a stroll in Port Hope, whereas ladies should explore the Dark Cathedral.

Warrior Outfit Addons Kalvin: The lighter version of the knight outfit is great if you want to save stamina and maintain agility. Addons are usually awarded by knight guilds.

Barbarian Outfit Addons Kalvin: This outfit stands for raw power, battle cries and lack of manners. I heard that there are a few barbarians living near Northport. They might just be able to provide fitting addons.

Wizard Outfit Addons Kalvin: Are you feeling evil today? This outfit is fitting for mages pursuing the dark side of sorcery. Shunned by the magic academy of Edron, you might find wizards hiding near Thais.

Oriental Outfit Addons Kalvin: This comfortable, yet fashionable outfit will create the romantic mood of thousand and one nights. A good place to look around for addons are naturally Darama and Ankrahmun.

Druid Outfit Addons Kalvin: Nature-loving and peaceful druids might like this outfit, especially the beastlike addons. I heard that there is a druid living near Ab'Dendriel, who might be able to provide fitting addons.

Outfits[]

Pirate Outfit Kalvin: Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! If you love the pirate way of life and sneer at landlubbers, this might be the right outfit for you. Pirates are said to roam the Shattered Isles.

Assasin Outfit Kalvin: Mysterious and lethal, assassins are hard to find and almost impossible to befriend. I know of one assassin hiding away on the Daramian Plague Spire. If you are lucky, he won't kill you.

Beggar Outfit Kalvin: Ah, Hugo is working on designing this look. He might need some inspiration, so if you have some time to spare, don't hesitate to contribute some ideas to him.

Shaman Outfit Kalvin: If you have seen everything and worn every look, this outfit will put the icing on your cake. Maybe you can earn it by becoming the apprentice of a Shaman... or voodoopriest.

just added some info about addons and outfits. Jura, 9:05 CET, 2 Aug 2006

I think the Mage outfit name must be changed to Summoner outfit and vice-versa, what do you think? Magiczghul, 1 Sep 2006

The names of the outfits were taken from the various "teaser" pics that CIP released before the update. Unless they made a mistake when they made the "mage" and "summoner" outfits (or I made a mistake when making the pages), the way they are now should be correct.

-- WhitelacesTalk † χρισtoς αnεσtη, αληθως αnεσtη -- 05:57, 1 September 2006 (PDT)

I think you made a mistake, if you read the old sorcerer commentary it says "Great for >>>YOUNG<<< mages and ladies who love witchcraft." and summoner sounds much better than mage for the young sorcerer. And i didn't saw any update pic of mage and summoner, if you have, can you show me? Magiczghul, 2 Sep 2006

I don't understand the "Male/Female" thing going on with the Mage and Summoner outfits.[]

It's extremely confusing, so I made it alot more simple.

Then it got changed back, so I'm changing it again. If you change it back again, I'd like you (whoever you are) to explain to me why you feel it's "better" your way.

I feel it's "better" my way because I'm an Administrator!!

just my 2 cent

EreglamMay the Force be with you ←  23:06, 22 September 2006 (PDT)

I agree with Ereglam. You being right because you're an administrator is not a reason. So if you said a Demon drops a Great Shield that would make it right just because you're an admin? I agree with what you wrote about availability, but you being right because you're an admin is not right. Just my two cents as well. - Lynx

He has complete control over wiki though - it's his duty to clean up the place so o corse he has to be right. And I think his way worked. It basically worked because the order of the female outfits left to right is different to the male outfit left to right. - Craggles

Yes, but my point still remains. Admin locking something just because you don't agree with what one other person did is stupid. Wiki is run by individual people giving people information. Frankly, I see locking the page just because his precious format kept being changed as power abuse. Each time you edit the page it even says under the edit box if you don't want your writings edited, don't submit it. If he can lock this page because he didn't like the fact that someone who felt they had a better outlook kept changing it, I should have the right to lock pages too because maybe I won't like how someone changed it. Giving the excuse he's right just because he's an admin is a poor excuse to change something. When you disagree on a format, you debate it in these Talk boxes, not abuse admin powers and lock it so NO ONE can edit it except an admin. That is why these Talk pages exist. They are there to clarify things and decide ways to make the page better, or at least that is how I see it. - Lynx

I mean, why have 2 outfit links that link to the same place? It just confused me... so whatever. Have it your way. - Chivalrous Knight

Kalvin about Mage Outfits: Great for wise old male mages as well as for pretty enchantresses. Isn't it clear, that Mage Outfits are - Outfit Summoner Male and Outfit Mage Female ???

Vice-versa, Kalvin about Summoner Outfits: Great for young mages and ladies who love witchcraft. A young mage: Outfit Mage Male and a witch Outfit Summoner Female!!!

Places of addons say the same! For Mage - If you are looking to earn addons, ladies should take a stroll in Port Hope, whereas elders should explore the Dark Cathedral. For Summoner - gentlemen should take a stroll in Port Hope, whereas ladies should explore the Dark Cathedral.
Humans just complicate all simply things :) I hope it's a good argument. What do you think? Answer!

I guess I lost track of what this discussion is about. There seems to be two different discussions here and they overlap a little, causing confusion.

I think that the outfit pages are correct in the way they are separated:

Summoner Outfits: Outfit Summoner Male Addon 3 Outfit Summoner Female Addon 3

Mage Outfits: Outfit Mage Male Addon 3 Outfit Mage Female Addon 3

These appear to be correctly separated. Is the question about the name? Should the "Summoner Outfits" be called the "Mage Outfits"? I think that is what is being said, but I got confused.

I'm okay with switching the names of these two. According to the NPC, when he says "Mage Outfits" he does seem to be referring to what we have called the summoner outfits.

We also need to entertain the idea that CIP simply made a mistake when they organized the outfits. Making the wrong female outfit premium so that it doesn't match with the male outfit that is premium.

-- WhitelacesTalk † χρισtoς αnεσtη, αληθως αnεσtη -- 11:50, 2 October 2006 (PDT)

White~, I mean, that this what NPCs are talking about means, that there doesn't exist something like Female/Male Summoner/Mage Outfit. Mage Outfits are for all type accounts and summoner are for all premium account. One more time i'll quote Kalvin:

--Mage Outfits: Great for wise old male mages as well as for pretty enchantresses. Old mage aswell like pretty enchantress is available for free accounts.

--Summoner Outfits: Great for young mages and ladies who love witchcraft. There is premium young mage and female who looks like a witch.

Even if Cipsoft made mistake, we should make it correct - i think it's very very clear and logical that Summoners are for Premium and Mages are for Free (all). What do you think about it?

Norseman Outfits[]

Can someone add the Norseman Outfits?
The page is protected...
Thanks!

Omg, Genosonic you are wrong with the table. Mage outfits - both male and female are for facc (all), and summoner outfits are for pacc - also both male and female. The thing that makes most of people confused is the fact, that mage male requires the same items for addons that summoner female, and mage female the same as summoner male. I don't think it's Cip's mistake, they just made it so addons fits outfits.

Sv.

I need to know how to make the image to see how much % left in a addon is. I've seen other people have it, I just dunno how. :S Thanks.

How about including approximate price and rarity in each outfit page? Just a thought, not really sure how you'd go about adding it.. User:YatZee

About old outfits (2 posts up), I found these 2: Old Outfit Male Old Outfit Female Anyone knows when they were available in tibia? I know there were 7 male and 7 female outfits before the addons were introduced. If I have some time tomorrow I will try to get them here too. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 21:53, September 11, 2009 (UTC)

They existed right until the summer update of 2006 when they introduced liberty bay/pirates and the new outfits, might have been 7.8 that update. Hope that helps. :) beejay 00:16, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so, actually: this model has darker shades than the old 'citizen' model; all old models were removed from the sprites when they were replaced. Also note the colors: if it were the model, it would be one of two versions: one with the model's shades (+magenta), one with the color data (which section of the sprites uses x variable, as in hair, torso, legging and shoe colors), shade data would be in grayscale(?), the other in bright blue, green, yellow and red (I think). Never would you see them in these colors. -- Sixorish 00:48, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

What sixorish says is true, those 2 outfits could not have been in tibia when choosing a color for your outfit was possible. I think some of the outfits were NOT replaced, this one is old though: Warrior Male It takes a looong time to get images in such a way so I will gradually post new ones. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 09:46, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Ok, done with my little project. Now I'm gonna try to find the even older ones :) Btw, the tibia.com news article says "8 new outfits", while I only found 7 (4 free and 3 premium if I'm not mistaking). Did I miss something? Maybe elf or dwarf outfit? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 14:34, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

The 8 individual outfits should be the 4 male facc outfits + the 4 female facc outfits?
Although at the 7.8 update they said premiums can choose from 15 outfits. That's the 4 facc + 3 old pacc + 4 new pacc + 4 quest outfits. Going by the same logic as their first message that would be 30 outfits (15 male and 15 female), but whatever. The announcement you linked to is from 2002, but the premium outfits weren't introduced until the winter of 2003: http://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=240

Update of page[]

I'd like to suggest an update of this page and all outfits pages. The template all outfits use should be adjusted to allow DPL listing and the Outfits page should list all outfits with DPL. That would make the code on the page a lot less messy (but for the viewer not really much would change) and when new outfits are added to the game they will be automatically added to the page.

An extra parameter for the official artworks from CIP, usually found in update teasers, could be added as well.

The DPL should look something like:

Name Male Outfit Male Addons Female Outfit Female Addons How to obtain? / Notes
Citizen Outfits Outfit Citizen Male Outfit Citizen Male Addon 3 Outfit Citizen Female Outfit Citizen Female Addon 3 Free Account
Jester Outfits Outfit Jester Male Outfit Jester Male Addon 3 Outfit Jester Female Outfit Jester Female Addon 3 Jester Outfits Quest

So I intend to cut down the amount of images shown per outfit on the Outfits page. This makes the table less wide and you get less the feeling that you're looking at 1000 images at once.

What do you think? -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 20:41, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

I don't mind it so much as it is but I think the look would probably be more beneficial. Beejay (talk) 00:45, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think you need to ask for permission. But if possible I would suggest replacing the images on the Outfits page with a gif of one frame (facing the screen). I don't see a problem in having a lot of images, but I do see a problem in having a lot of animating (rotating) images. -- Sixorish (talk) 03:27, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

I agree with Sixorish. A large number of animated images may cause pages to load slower on older web browsers. This also concerns the Creatures page.
Art Featherpitch (talk) 05:00, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

I just did what I proposed on January 6. I'm sorry, don't feel like uploading tons of static outfit images. The Template:Infobox Outfit could use some fine tuning, feel free to edit it. Implementation data should be relatively easy to find and add as well. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 22:37, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

Yalaharian addons and the current DPL display[]

Due to the new method of displaying the outfit addons on the page (that is, only showing the sprite with both addons equipped), the yalaharian outfit misses out on both its addons, as they cannot be equipped together. I suggest an exception to be made in the template to fix this problem specifically for this outfit, so that it would appear like this (wizard outfits shown in comparison):

Wizard Outfits Outfit Wizard Male Outfit Wizard Male Addon 3 Outfit Wizard Female Outfit Wizard Female Addon 3 Premium Outfits Yes
Yalaharian Outfits Outfit Yalaharian Male Outfit Yalaharian Male Addon 1 Outfit Yalaharian Male Addon 2 Outfit Yalaharian Female Outfit Yalaharian Female Addon 1 Outfit Yalaharian Female Addon 2 Quest Outfits Yes

Art Featherpitch (talk) 14:46, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

We could add both addons to the same gif file as a quick fix, your method would be a lot better though.

Latest buyable outfits[]

Hello. Do you guys need help with updating the outfits/outfitter with the Spiritcaller, Puppeteer & Envoker outfits? Or did it just slip trough the maze.

I would love to help with it but the pages are protected. :) Tustanuxo (talk) 11:31, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that still needs to be done. Daniel said: "Compress the image with some image optimizer like smushit.com encode the image to base 64 with some site like www.base64-image.de to add the image follow the format on Outfiter/Female/Ceremonial Garb or any other mount/outfit (PrefixIndex?prefix=Outfiter) you can add spaces anywhere inside the base64 encoded data if needed by wikia. About modifying the outfiter script, just follow the format on Outfiter/Code and Outfiter/Code_Template for outfiter_mount_names and outfiter_names variables, also you might need to check outfiter_4096h, outfiter_sprites_standing and outfiter_sprites_walking variables and the comments above them."

I haven't tried this yet, but that's what needs to be done. Do you have any experience with this? -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 12:30, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

I was thinking about doing that but I still haven't found out how to get picutres/base64 text from Tibia files and editing the ones from regular-bin would be too much effort. If you could hint me that, I would probably be able upload outfits and add new animations to few existing ones.
-- Cauli92 (talk) 13:05, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

-- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 15:23, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Gave it a try, but I don't know if it's my comp or browser or I just did something wrong, but not only my comp was walking like if I had 2 mb ram, but also firefox crashed twice and after I have reverted all my edits related to Outfiter, I only saw that for all the time: http://imgur.com/YjD1uvx
Sorry for all the mess, I will allow myself to assume it's just my comp, as in other case, reverting my edits/deleting the pages should backup the outfiter, while it did not in my view. Got super annoyed and disappointed of myself so will give up with that for now, to not cause any more damage. Sorry once again.
-- Cauli92 (talk) 16:11, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Don't worry, my google chrome gave errors so I used firefox, I guess browsers are not used to large amounts of text. I think it is all fixed now, as far as I could test in the outfiter? Shall I write a guide how it's done? -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 22:02, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, but it's not necessary, it appears to be something wrong with my computer. Apparently, you were able to use outfiter normally, yet I still see it the way I have shown on the SS, even after reboot, cleaning cookies and using different browsers. I don't really get what's happening, but whatever it is, it's probably caused by my graphic card(I only have integrated one and the performance on it is really poor). The whole process seems to be easy enough and now that I know it wasn't the fault of mine and seeing you have added them the same way, I begin to believe I have done nothing wrong, just the broken-outfiter made me 'freak out' and unnecessarily revert the changes. Still it's not something I'm willing to repeat any soon, at least as long as I work on that computer
Thanks a lot for confirming there's nothing broken in there, as I'm still unable to check it out.
-- Cauli92 (talk) 22:28, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

PS: I don't think it's really necessary, but perhaps you should move 'Puppeteer' and 'Spirit_Caller' two lines higher in Code and Code/Template - right now there are only 2 entries between 40 and 45.

I've just noticed that icons in my download history were also gone and decided to delete whole history, cookies etc from my firefox via ctrl+shift+del. I still don't know what was the reason, but the Outfiter works perfectly fine now... < facepalm> on how simple it was >.<
I'm gonna go and hide now... -- Cauli92 (talk) 22:38, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Ok, I'm glad you resolved your problem. To be honest I have no idea why there is 40 or 45 in that code, I just continued the sequence there was. It is probably related to some outfit number or id used in the outfiter? I don't know. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 07:03, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

Wow! Before I even had the chance to look into it you already fixed it. XD Thanks Cauli and Bennie.-- Tustanuxo (talk) 09:15, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

All Kudos to Bennie, I did nothing useful :p
About the 40 and 45, I believe these are just numbers of outfits inside the outfiter, perhaps Daniel highlighted it every 5 numbers to count it in an easy way whenever necessary, therefore there should be exactly 5 outfits between each mark and I guess that's pretty much it.
-- Cauli92 (talk) 10:49, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

Convinced myself and tried to add improved animations of Elf, Frog, Dwarf, Archdemon, Barbarian (A), Corym (A), Corym (B) as I made sure I cannot 'break' whole Outfiter just by doing that and if something like that appears on my comp, I will just clear the history again.
Archdemon, Barbarian and Corym (B) work fine, Corym (A) seems to still use his old steps unfortunately, but as that's impossible since the base code was replaced, I will give it a moment to update, as it was made just as other ones, so should work as well.
Frog, Elf, Dwarf, however, couldn't be add this easily - their sprites are placed on 32x32 squares, and therefore we need to find a way to double the size of image and place each sprite in the south-east corner of each 64 square. Any ideas?
-- Cauli92 (talk) 12:09, May 8, 2015 (UTC)

I see no fundamental problem, for example with Elf it was 32px and still is:

It has to be like that: Outfiter Elf Old else you will see 2 outfits and 2 color sets on each Outfiter slide, I gave it a try.
Also I can't get Corym (A)'s animation to work for some reason, could you take a look at it/try upload yourself? Corym (B) worked without flaws. -- Cauli92 (talk) 14:32, May 8, 2015 (UTC)
