[edit] Background
A Rookie is player who decided to stay in Rookgaard and stay forever without a vocation. Also known as a Rookgaardian, Rookstayer or Rooker. It's also often misspelled to a "Rookslayer".
Some guilds only accept Rookies as members.
The first Rookie to reach level 100 was Sunrise.
Another term used is rooktaard but this is usually taken as an insult (similar to "noob") referring to players in Rookgaard who post spam on Game-Chat to annoy other players. The word appears to be a portmanteau of Rookgaard and retard.
[edit] Gains and Regeneration
[edit] Gains by level
With each level, every player recieves an increase in Capacity, Maximum Hitpoints, and Maximum Mana.
With each level, a character on Rookgaard will gain:
[edit] Regeneration
As time passes, every character will regenerate lost Hitpoints and Mana, as long as they have eaten recently (see page on Regeneration for more information).
A character on Rookgaard will regenerate:
*The mana regeneration was confirmed on a Test Server where there was a creature that has mana drain on Rookgaard.
[edit] Skills
Skills in Rookgaard are very slow compared to vocations in main. It is known that skills take the same amount of time on Rook as equivelant to a Sorcerer on Main. The time it takes to increase melee skills on Rook (Club/Sword/Axe) is: Time trained for previous skill doubled. For example, melee skill 20 to 21 takes around 28 hours and 30 minutes and from 21 to 22 it takes 57 hours - double the time from 20 to 21.
It is also recommended that you stick to one kind of weapon all the time, to decrease the amount of time you'll need to train as much as possible. Make this choice soon when you start playing.
Fist fighting is the fastest attack skill to advance on Rookgaard, it is possible to reach a high fist skill of around 30~
