It inflicts an open wound on the enemy target making them lose health over time, by dealing Bleed Damage (in a descending order) over time.
This spell takes into account the Level and Melee (Axe, Club or Sword) skill level to determine how much damage you will deal to the target. The time it takes to execute the next damage turn is constant, which is 4 seconds. It does only one-fourth of damage to players, from the amount of damage it does to creatures. If the target is neutral to physical damage, then the damage ranges from 1 to 19 and may occur more than one time, in a fixed minimum/maximum range of occurrences.
The damage is not based upon the melee skill level of the type of weapon you are wielding, but rather on the highest melee skill level of your character. So if you want to effectively use this spell, then the smart play is to always try to use it when in a Blood Rage.
Useful for long-winded single battles, as it can supersede the damage of Brutal Strike after 5 - 6 turns. Also useful for continuously turning invisible creatures visible again.
