Illumination
Talk0this wiki
Whenever a character is in the complete darkness, he is subject to great troubles by not knowing where will he wander, not being able to prepare himself for the hazards that might lurk about. For that reason, Tibians have developed several methods of illuminating their path to not be in the, literally, total dark. These methods are either static objects (illumination poles) or moveable objects (coal basins and torches for instance).
Illumination used to be a core gameplay mechanic until the 7.8 update, when the client was changed to allow players to set ambient light. Now, Illumination is just for visual effect and has no practical value.
