Only for advancing in Ranks:
Mission 1 - Getting therePlains of Havoc Temple. Now walk east and go into the ruined building (here). Use your shovel on the northeast hole and drop in. Walk east into the other room. Use your pick until you find a hole. You will encounter 2 Ghouls.
Walk towards the trees. You will be teleported to the other side and your carrot will be gone. Free account players are not allowed to pass this area.
Continue walking up and turn left. There will be a section with Poison Fields. Past the Poison Fields is one empty space. Use the Firebug here.
A teleport will appear, walk into it and inside is a room full of trees. Above the trees is a floor-switch. Throw a Death Ring on it and the trees will clear open for you to enter. You must make it in before anyone else does or it will close.
Mission 2 - Matching color game
In here is the beginning of the Dreamer's Challenge. The first Challenge is a Matching color game. You must use the switches to match the 4 colors into their designated spots, much like how a Rubik's Cube works.
After completing it, run down to the entrance but walk right into the other teleport before someone else does. Now you are in a long curved hallway and you can see into a weird room. Enter the South teleport and you will be in a small room with 4 switches and a teleport. Flick all 4 switches in the order described in the image below (SE, SW, NE then NW), and all the walls will disappear. Begin healing yourself or cast mana shield, you will take more and more damage from the 12 Magicthrowers, Plaguethrowers and Shredderthrowers that surround you.
Enter the teleport next to you, after all 4 walls are down, as quickly as possible. If you go in teleport before the walls are all down, you return to the previous teleport. If you die here, you are not able to recover your body.
It should only take you a few seconds to pull the levers and jump back through the teleport, so you may take up to 700 damage. If you're a low to mid level knight, bring health potions. If you're a mage, use manashield, a good idea might be to have a team of at least 2 and enter all at the same time so each person takes care of 2 levers and the player with less hitpoints should enter to the teleporter first so he wont die.
Mission 3 - Tic Tac Toe puzzle
Begin by walking south west, move the switch north of the white pillars. There is an NPC south here that is a Ghostly Woman. She will tell you about the Tic Tac Toe puzzle. She says she is cold and wants Boots. You do not need to get Boots though. Go east and enter the room with the beds. Open the Chests until you get the Book of the Lost Heroes. Walk north to the Tic Tac Toe place. There will be 36 spaces, 6 rows and 6 columns. Each name in the Book of the Lost Heroes is 6 letters long and there are six names. Move the switch to make an X and O appear. Any name with an X or O in it, pretend you are writing it on the line. Say the first name was something like --X-O-, you would leave the first two spots blank, the third would have an X, the fourth would be blank, the fifth would be O and the sixth would be blank.
Book of the Lost Heroes:
After positioning all of these, run down to the Ghost NPC's Room. Move the switch and the pillars will return on the north side of that room. Move it again and a teleport will appear. Go into it. The puzzle here, only needs to be solved by one person, each person can just move the switch to activate the teleport.
Mission 4 - Dream room
There are 4 tiles in this room.
Now go to the north-west and move the switch to make the well fill with poison and turn the electricity on. Go back to the four tiles and:
Step into a teleporter, this, according to the tibian history is when you start to dreamwalk. The paths you will find throughout the way are places who are called Dreampaths to the Dream Realm. As you are asleep, the monsters in there are just decorative and won't do you any harm - except for when you arrive down in Calassa, where you have to walk quickly otherwise you might drown (unless you are wearing a Helmet of the Deep).
Just walk around and you will jump through all of them, like your dream is wandering. Finally, you will end up in a room with an NPC A Ghostly Guardian. You will now receive the achievement Lucid Dreamer. There will be 4 boxes in this room. All boxes contain a bag with a vial of wine, bread, and a certificate. Continue north until you face a crossover. Now it's time to choose your fate. You can choose between:
- Brotherhood of Bones (west teleport) - speak to NPC Bone Master
- Nightmare Knights (north teleport) - speak to NPC Dream Master
You must go through the teleport and talk to one of the two leaders to join their ranks. Upon accepting their membership, you will now be able to access the first floor of teleports and receive the achievement: Nightmare Knight or Bone Brother.
At the Dream Realm talk to your leader from the Brotherhood of Bones or the Nightmare Knights; they will have additional missions for you. (Say "join" to NPC) You can leave the Dream Realm by stepping into the teleporter near A Ghostly Guardian.
Note: now you can use a Document of the Follower to obtain Nightmare/Brotherhood Outfits.
Mission 5 - Prove your deeds
If you are on the Dream Master's side your rank is Novice, otherwise your rank is Maggot. Your privileges are the usage of the teleporters of the first floor of the Knightwatch Tower: (Carlin, Thais, Dream Realm).
Bring them to the Dream Master if you are of the Nightmare Knights, say Demonic Essence and ask for an advancement and you will be promoted to the rank of Initiate, otherwise bring them to the Bone Master, you will be promoted to the rank of Hyaena. You are able now to use teleporters to Ab'Dendriel, Fibula and Kazordoon. You may, also, use a Document of the Officer to obtain the first addon.
Mission 6 - Slaying more demons
Bring them to the Dream Master if you are of the Nightmare Knights, ask for an advancement and you will be promoted to the rank of Dreamer and be granted a Nightmare Shield, otherwise bring them to the Bone Master, you will be promoted to the rank of Death Dealer and be granted a Necromancer Shield.You may, also, use a Document of the Leader to obtain the second addon.NOTE: If you gave all 1500 essence on the first mission, don't worry, you can still advance.
Mission 7 - Slaughtering
Bring them to the Dream Master if you are of the Nightmare Knights, ask for an advancement and you will be promoted to the rank of Lord Protector, otherwise bring them to the Bone Master, you will be promoted to the rank of Dread Lord. You are now able to use teleporters to Darashia, Ankrahmun, and Mintwallin. You are, also, able to create Outfit, First and Second Addon Scrolls
There are no further mission available for you now, yet the NPC gives a hint that the quest isn't over. Possibly after some update the quest will be finished.

Note: to use the teleporters you need an Orichalcum Pearl with you.
Once you have gained the rank Lord Protector, or Dread Lord, you are able to create your own documents very easily. You just need to go back to the Knightwatch Tower (through a hole hidden behind a tree here). There is a book in the Nightmare Knights officers quarters, behind the Gate of Expertise in the Dream Realm, which tells you the following:
"Know this, Lord Protector, yours is the power and privilege to grant the permission to wear an outfit appropriate to someone's status. Put a small diamond on the northern altar and pull the lever. An enchanted scroll will appear. Used by a member of the rank Novice, the document will grant him the right to wear the armor of the Nightmare Knights. Put a small diamond on the western altar and pull the lever. An enchanted scroll will appear. Used by a member of the rank Initiate, the document will grant him the right to wear the headgear of the Nightmare Knights. Put a small diamond on the southern altar and pull the lever. An enchanted scroll will appear. Used by a member of the rank Dreamer, the document will grant him the right to wear the regalia of the Nightmare Knights. Choose carefully who is worthy in your eyes."
NB: You need 1 small diamond for each document you wish to create.
