To get to the books, you have to go down to enter the Cathedral (first picture). As soon as you are down, follow the blue line to get to the second floor (second picture). Once on the second floor, you can follow the green line to get to the second floor library, or follow the blue line to get to the third floor. However, before you can use the portal at the end of the blue line, you'll have to flip the switches indicated by lightblue dots on the third picture. You have to be pretty fast, so it's best if you go with multiple people. You should start at the most southern switches and split up to flip 3 switches per team.
