Chat Commands

These are commands you can use to chat with other characters. Best used with hotkeys that are meant to be said in the Default Channel or to a specific character.

[edit] Default Channel Commands

Say: #s <text>
Only players on the Game Window can read your message.

Yell: #y <text>
Only characters on the Game Window and characters nearby off the Game Window can read your message. The yell will cover a square area of 30 tiles in all directions. Above surface, characters on all floors can hear the yell. Underground, only characters on the same floor hear the yell. Yells will be displayed in capital font.

Whisper: #w <text>
Only people that stand 1 SQM away from you can hear you. People around it will hear "pspsp".

Broadcast: #b <text>
Broadcasts a message to all players in red (only Gamemasters, customer supports etc. can use this command)

[edit] Private Chat Channel Commands

Invite Character: #i <charactername>
The character specified will be invited to your private chat channel.

Exclude Character: #x <charactername>
The character specified will be excluded from your private chat channel.

[edit] Any Channel Command

Private Message: *charactername* <text>
This is another way to contact players directly.

There is also a way to send out one message at a time: $charactername$ <text>.
This will send the message, and then clear the $...$ from your console.

Press the Tab key to move from the channel you are in to the next one on the right.
Shift+Tab key to move from the channel you are in to the next one on the left.

Ctrl+W removes messages one-by-one in the order that they appeared on the Game Window.
Ctrl+M shows all Server Log messages in the channel you select.
Ctrl+E closes the channel you are in. This will not close the Default or Server Log Channels.
Ctrl+O opens a dialog box so you can select another channel to open. Ctrl+D opens Default Channel Ctrl+T opens Help Channel Ctrl+R opens dialog to submit a Rule Violation that goes to the Report Rule Violation Channel
